Computer Engineering majors take a strong program of courses in computer engineering, computer science, electronics engineering, and mathematics. The undergraduate curriculum emphasizes preparing students to engage in design, development, applications, and management in the computer industries. The program focuses on digital design, microprocessor architecture, microprocessor based system design, hardware programming, and hardware and software system integration, in addition to core courses in electronics engineering.
The department offers several areas of concentration so students can a attain an in-depth study of a topic in computer engineering.
The Computer Engineering concentrations are:
- Advanced Digital Design
- Multimedia Systems
Consult an academic adviser for further information on the courses within each concentration and any prerequisites that may be needed.
Students from the computer engineering program may take any of the concentrations from the electronics engineering program, but computer engineering majors must complete at least one of the computer engineering concentrations.
