Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering

Students interested in Electronics Engineering have the best of both worlds: an academic program provided by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering, and the program support of the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). To be admitted to the Electronics Engineering program, you'll apply through the UNO Undergraduate Admission Application. You will have the unique opportunity to join the Nebraska Engineering community and enjoy the benefits of the nearby UNO campus while studying at The Peter Kiewit Institute.

 

PROGRAM DEFINITION

Electronics Engineering is a degree program offered by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering at the Peter Kiewit Institute on the Omaha Campus. Electronics Engineering majors take courses in electrical engineering fundamentals, electronics engineering, mathematics and physics. The curriculum emphasizes design, development, and applications of electronics and telecommunications engineering. Students have a solid background in modern electronics circuits and systems with a major focus in telecommunications engineering.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

In addition to University requirements students must meet the following College requirements:

  • 4 years of high school math, including:
    • 2 years of algebra
    • 1 year of geometry
    • 1 year of trigonometry, pre-calculus or calculus
  • 3 years of natural science, including:
    • 1 year of physics
    • 1 year of chemistry
  • ACT composite of 24 or higher or SAT total score (Critical Reading and Math only) of 1110 or higher.*
    • * If the minimum admission has not been met, a student still may be admitted based on an individual review of his/her application.
