Students may take courses on the Omaha campus and transfer them to the Lincoln campus's Electrical Engineering program. Many courses on the Omaha campus have equivalent courses on the Lincoln campus and may be transferred to the Lincoln program directly. The electrical engineering courses do not have equivalent courses on the Omaha campus; however, certain groupings of CEEN courses contain the same content as groupings of EE courses and will transfer as an equivalent "body of knowledge". Because credit hours of the Omaha and Lincoln groupings of courses are not identical, some of the Omaha hours may not apply to the Lincoln Program. Students should transfer to the Lincoln campus either after their second or fourth semester. Transferring after the first or third semester will result in additional course work.

 

Transfer to Lincoln campus after two years at the UNO campus

The student would be able to transfer the coursework shown into the first two years of the Lincoln EE program. The schedule does not include the two science electives (8 hours) but it does satisfy the ACE elective and three hours of the Technical Elective in semester 5.

Transfer to Lincoln campus after one year at the UNO campus

The student would be able to transfer the coursework shown into the first year of the Lincoln EE program.  The courses listed do not contain the material in ELEC 121 and ELEC 122 so the student would have to take these courses in the sophomore year at Lincoln.  The CIST 1400 and CEEN 1060 and would satisfy the Computer Programming elective and ELEC 222 that are listed in the sophomore year.

* EPPE (English Placement/Proficiency Exam)   score of 116 is required to take ENGL 1160.  After successful completion of ENGL 1160 the student will be awarded three hours credit retroactively for ENGL 1150.   Students with an EPPE score of 115 will need to take ENGL 1150 prior to taking ENGL 1160.  Students with an EPPE score of 200 can take ENGL 3980 or ENGR 3000.  After successful completion of ENGL 3980 or ENGR 3000 the student will be awarded six hours credit retroactively for ENGL 1150 and ENGL 1160.  The ENGL 1150 and ENGL 1160 will satisfy Electrical Engineering’s JGEN 200 requirement.

The Electrical Engineering program requires two science electives to be chosen from the following list.  Students may take them in addition to the specified courses or in place of the ACE courses; however, the skipped ACE courses would need to be completed on the Lincoln campus.
